The following article is from the 8/24 issue of the US magazine "AutoWeek". THE BURGERMEISTER: BMW isn't sitting idly as it awaits the Oct.1 arrival of new motorsports chief Gerhard Berger. BMW has expanded its motorsports personnel to 80, hiring engineers away from Ferrari, IImor and Renault. The prototype V10 is on the dyno, and should be ready for track-testing in a Williams chassis next spring. BMW returns to F1 in 2000. |
